Exploring Escondido!
My favorite park of Escondido are the lakes and open hiking areas around Daley Ranch. I get on my mountain bike early in the morning and take some of the beautiful hiking and biking trails around the lake. Great for family picnics, fishing, and healthy exercise.
Escondido, which means "hidden" in Spanish, lies about 18 miles inland, 100 miles south of Los Angeles, and 30 miles northeast of San Diego.
Escondido lies in a basin surrounded by mountains.It offers a wide range of housing where people with different income levels can enjoy the Southern California lifestyle. Many new housing developments offer large single-story ranch homes on big lots
